Just went to Pittsburgh for a few days while my mom had surgery for her brain tumor.
This video is 2 years old and she had cancer then as well. She's actually been continually fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer since 2003 when she was given a year to live. Eight years and more than 155 chemotherapy treatments later, she's still not ready to give up. Along the way she's also endured radiation, cyber knife, several surgeries, and insurance.
This is her less than 12 hours after brain surgery--alert and eating. Unreal.
If you have a family member or friend with cancer, I'd love to hear their story as well. Every cancer patient's fight is precious and should be celebrated.
